This site first came about at the end of March 2004. I can't exactly remember what possesed me to create it; it may just have been a way to experiment with web design, which I hadn't really touched properly before.
In terms of content there was never much going for it, except perhaps the ability for users to download my games. But after adding the LBA screenshots page it started to become more popular, though I expect most users never saw the main site (what you're looking at now).
It's also rather useful for me to have a convenient place to upload files. But for people other than me, the only really worthwhile things are the games and the screenshots. However, I have included the other pages just in case people are interested, you know? Nothing wrong with that…
At the beginning of August 2005, I moved the site from a subdomain of Shattered Vision to its current domain.
Teh Sheep's Lair is written in XHTML, which is basically the same as HTML only… better. Well, not necessarily much better, but let's just say that in the future HTML will probably become obsolete and XHTML will replace it. All the design (colours, background images, etc.) is done in CSS. The site uses a lot of PHP too.
Most people who come to this site hate the colour scheme. This is understandable as it is cyan, Purple, green and blue. I, however, happen to like it, and it's going to stay this way. The design is unorthodox and makes a nice change to just about every other web page in existance.
Incidently, if you're using Internet Explorer to view this site, you'll notice that the Sheep and grass images look utterly terrible. The reason for this is that IE can't handle PNG images properly. I recommend you download a decent browser such as Opera or Firefox.
